Town of Avon Implements Stage 1 Fire Restrictions

Avon, CO – Continued dry conditions necessitate Stage 1 fire restrictions in the Town of Avon beginning Friday, September 21, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. 

 
Prohibitions:

• No open fires of any type outside of developed areas, including charcoal.
• No smoking except within an enclosed vehicle or building.
• No use of explosive materials, including private fireworks and explosive targets.
• No welding or operation of an acetylene or other similar torch with open flame, or any other spark producing device, except from an area that has been cleared of vegetation.
• No operation of any internal combustion engine without a spark arrestive device properly installed and in working order.
