AvonLIVE! Concerts in the Park
Presented by the Town of Avon
Free community concert on
Wednesday, August 1st

Avon, CO – Join us at the Avon Performance Pavilion, at Harry A. Nottingham Park, on August 1st for family fun and music at this final AvonLIVE! free community concert. Who’s Bad: The Ultimate Michael Jackson Experience, an unrivaled celebration of pop music’s one true King, headline the August 1st show. SUSTO, who gave us “I’m Fine Today,” open the evening’s live music, which begins at 5:30 p.m.

Concert & Event Specials:  The concert is free to the public, and in partnership with the Avon Lake Street Market, features street food trucks and tents, beer, wine and spirits, booths with local produce, crafts and gifts, and the Lettuce Patch kids zone, featuring a Bouncy Castle and face painting. There will be reduced price drinks between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m. and special food pricing or "Free Meal Happy Hour" from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Mouth-watering options include scrumptious street tacos and quesadillas, tuna poke and Maui chicken, lamb and veggie gyros, sausages, ice cream, popcorn and snow cones. A collection of craft brews, wine, refreshing spirits and non-alcoholic beverages will be sold. Special promotion: three pairs of SkullCandy headphones will be raffled off each evening.

The Bands: The headline band for this final AvonLIVE! event, Who’s Bad, brings a power-packed performance of Michael Jackson’s expansive catalog that has ignited crowds on every continent and can only be described as a jaw-dropping, musical must-see. They are the longest-running Michael Jackson tribute band, and the only one to predate his untimely passing. To open the evening’s music, SUSTO, take the spacey country-rock music of their debut into the stratosphere, piling on layers of sighing keyboards, galloping rhythms and frayed, noisy guitar solos atop wistful melodies and lyrics that examine growing up and growing into yourself.
