Avon, CO – Town offices will be closed on Tuesday, July 3^rd and Wednesday, July 4^th in observance of Independence Day. Regular office hours will resume on Thursday, July 5^th.
 
The Avon Recreation Center will have restricted hours on Tuesday, July 3^rd to accommodate the 32^nd annual Alpine Bank Salute to the USA, Avon’s signature event in Harry A. Nottingham Park. The Recreation Center will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with the aquatics area closing early at 3 p.m. There will be no parking available at the Rec Center on Tuesday, July 3^rd. Patrons are encouraged to walk, bike or take advantage of Avon Transit’s free service. The Recreation Center will reopen for regular business hours on Wednesday, July 4^th. 
 
Lake Street will be closed on Tuesday, July 3^rd. Avon Transit services will operate ‘off schedule’ on Tuesday, July 3^rd, and the Lake Street bus stop will be closed. Please use the temporary Recreation Center bus stop on Mikaela Way. All buses will otherwise operate on their regular routes. For more information, visit www.avon.org/bus.
