Avon Police Believe Stabbing is Isolated Incident

 Public encouraged to stay alert

 

Avon, CO – The Avon Police Department continues to work collaboratively with the 5th Judicial District Attorney’s office on the investigation of the May 31st assault and stabbing in Avon. This is an active, dynamic investigation, and the Avon Police Department and the victim truly appreciate the assistance they have received from the general public in this matter.

This is believed to be an isolated incident, and the Avon Police Department believes there is no further threat to the general public. The suspect remains in custody at the Eagle County detention facility. The next hearing in this case will be held Monday, June 18th at 9:00 a.m. in the Eagle County Combined Courts. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
