Avon, CO – Avon welcomes Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals (BHIC) to its Performance Pavilion on September 15th. Two tickets may be purchased in section P5 for $50.00, plus small administrative fees. No proof of giving is required—just your honesty in purchasing the tickets.
BEN HARPER INTRODUCES HEY, KING AS THE EVENING OPENER: Hey, King! is a self-described raucous indie rock band led by Natalie London and Taylor Plecity. In a late summer evening in 2016, London and Plecity had to opportunity to play for Mr. Harper. He subsequently produced Hey, King’s forthcoming E.P. London describes what this has meant by writing that Ben Harper changed their lives forever. He added “his undeniable touch to every instrument and every track; collaborating on arrangements, laying down his irreplaceable slide guitar, and playing everything from the harmonium to the hammer-dulcimer”. Mr. Harper and the Avon audience will welcome Hey, King to the Pavilion stage at 6:30 p.m. as the BHIC opener.
BEN HARPER CONCERT AFTER PARTY: Following the concert, Montana’s Smokehouse will host an official after party from 10:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. DJ Weez, from KZYR, will spin rock, reggae, and hip-hop. The event is free and party-goers wearing a BHIC wristband will receive a free drink (beer, cocktail, soft drink, etc.). The official party will be the perfect way to continue celebrating a night of live music. Montana’s Steakhouse is located at 82 East Beaver Creek Boulevard, in Avon.
