Based on Demand, Avon Town Council Approves Expanded Transit Service
Summer schedule will be effective beginning Sunday, May 21
Avon, CO – Avon Transit will transition to its summer schedule beginning Sunday, May 21st. Funding for expanded Transit service was approved at the May 9th Avon Town Council meeting, allowing for the continuation of the Avon East-Red Line and Avon West-Blue Line throughout the day. In addition, the Night Rider Shuttle will continue to provide service within the Town core to locals and visitors between 6:00 and 10:00 p.m.
AVON TRANSIT BUS SERVICE
• The Avon East - Red Line runs every 30-minutes between 6:44 a.m. and 6:05 p.m. Route services the residential areas in east Avon along Hurd Lane and Hwy 6, including Traer Creek Plaza and Buffalo Ridge Housing Complex.
• The Avon West - Blue Line runs every 30-minutes between 6:29 a.m. 6:06 p.m. Route services the residential areas in west Avon along West Beaver Creek Boulevard and Hwy 6, including the Town Core businesses and Traer Creek Plaza.
• The Night Rider, provided by Peak 1 Express, runs every 30-minutes between 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. in a figure eight pattern servicing the east and west portions of the town and the core business section along with the Elk parking lot in Beaver Creek. The route services shopping areas within the Town of Avon, with connections to ECO Transit and Beaver Creek Transit.
