Avon Tailors Services Provided Through the Avon Transit Pilot Program

On-demand service will replace the Wildridge Express Shuttle and the Night Rider Shuttle will end service at 10:00 p.m.  Pilot Program will continue through April 2^nd

Avon, CO – As part of an Avon Transit pilot program, the Town of Avon added two free Transit routes to the regular schedule in early February. The Town contracted with Peak 1 Express to provide these services through April 2^nd in order to enhance transit services to Avon residents and guests. Ridership has been collected and reported to the Town on a weekly basis. After evaluating the ridership data, the services have been amended as described below.
 
Wildridge Service
Due to low ridership during all service hours provided on the Wildridge Express Shuttle, the Wildridge Express Shuttle has ended all service.
 
Beginning on Wednesday, March 8^th, a new free on-demand service for Wildridge addresses will be provided from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. and from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. A rider may reserve at any time one or more one-way rides by calling Peak 1 Express dispatch at 970-423-5193. A one-way ride will be to-or-from a residential or commercial address to-or-from the Avon Station bus shelter during the on-demand service hours.  If more rides are requested than available during the on-demand service hours, the caller will be informed that “service is full for the day, please select another reservation time”
 
Night Rider Shuttle
Due to a low ridership between the service hours of 10:00 and 11:00 p.m., the Night Rider has ended service at 10:00 p.m. The “Night Rider” shuttle offers transport around the valley floor between 6:00 and 10:00 p.m., seven days a week. The Night Rider provides service within the Town core to locals and visitors, with stops at Westgate Plaza, The Aspens, West Beaver Creek Boulevard., Stone Creek, Buck Creek, Lake Street, Avon Station, Northside Kitchen, Buffalo Ridge, Walmart, ANB Bank, Christie Lodge and Eaglebend Apartments.
