Buck Creek Connector Complete

New Paved Trail Connects Nottingham Trail to Nottingham Road

Avon, CO – A new section of paved trail creates a pedestrian and bicycle connection from the existing Nottingham Road Trail to Buck Creek Road, simplifying access between the medical offices and Walking Mountains Science Center on Buck Creek Road. Construction of the six-foot wide, 225-foot Buck Creek Connector began Monday, October 24th and was completed in a week. According to Justin Hildreth, Town Engineer, “The trail was originally envisioned to be included as part of the 2002 Nottingham Road improvements, but that project was canceled. We’re glad the project could be completed before the winter season begins.” The Buck Creek Connector will provide connectivity to Avon’s trail system, and is included as part of the Comprehensive Transportation Plan and the 2016 Town of Avon Recreational Trails Master Plan.
