Town of Avon releases 2016 Recreational Trails Master Plan
Planning and Zoning Commission set to review the Trails Plan on August 16, 2016
Avon, CO – The Town of Avon has released its 2016 Recreational Trails Master Plan (Trails Plan). The Town’s Steering Committee, who has overseen the Trails Plan process to date, has completed its review of the document, with professional assistance from Olsson Associates, planning consultant to the Town.
The Trails Plan can be found at www.avon.org/trails.
Trails Plan Approval Process
It is the responsibility of the Planning and Zoning Commission ("PZC") to make a recommendation to the Town Council on a master plan adoption. The PZC may take more than one meeting to reach a recommendation. Once the Commission makes a recommendation on the Trails Plan, the Avon Town Council will consider the Trails Plan by ordinance, with first and second readings.
All public meetings will include a presentation of the Trails Plan, and provide for public questions and comments.
