Avon Launches Business Relief Grants
Ahead of Winter Season
Grants will be awarded to Avon businesses for essential expenses
Avon, CO – As an uncertain winter season approaches, the Avon Town Council provided direction to staff to create a business relief grant program and approved $150,000 in funding for the program on Tuesday, October 27th. The purpose of the COVID-19 Avon Business Relief Program is to provide immediate funding to small, local businesses to pay for essential expenses and offset additional winter expenses due to the pandemic.
The COVID-19 Avon Business Relief Program application opens Friday, October 30
th. Businesses will be eligible to receive up to $5,000 in grant funds, and the first round of applications will close on Monday, November 16
th. If additional funding is available, a second round of applications will begin until all funding has been allocated. To be eligible to apply, businesses must have a current and valid Town of Avon business license and be up-to-date with Avon sales tax. Applicant businesses must have a physical location within the Town of Avon’s commercially zoned area from which business operations are conducted.
