[ARCHIVED] SnowBall Music Festival - Impacts Notice #2

Re: Second Annual SnowBall Music Festival Less Than 30 Days Away

Avon Property and Business Owner,

As you may be aware, the second annual SnowBall Music Festival will be coming to Avon on Friday, March 2nd through Sunday, March 4th. Musicians, staging, set-up crews, media and festival attendees will be descending on Avon starting March 2nd for a weekend of music, after parties and fun in the snow!

The Town of Avon is excited to welcome this one-of-a-kind winter music event to our community and wanted to provide you with information on impacts that will be associated with the event. The event will necessitate temporary building closure(s), parking lot closures(s) and road closure(s) for the safety of set-up crews, festival attendees and general public alike. Although these closures may seem an inconvenience, the benefits from the national exposure to our community exceed the temporary disruptions.

Temporary Road Closures

• Benchmark Road will be closed at the Avon Library west bound starting at 12:00 p.m. and ending at 11:00 p.m. each day Friday, March 2 through Sunday, March 4
• Riverfront Lane will close at the building which was utilized at the “Westin sales office” west to Benchmark Road starting at 6:00 a.m. and ending at 11:00 p.m. each day Friday, March 2 through Sunday, March 4
• East Beaver Creek Blvd. will be closed east bound at Chapel Place Road starting at 9:30 p.m. and ending at 11:00 p.m. Friday, March 2 through Sunday, March 4
• East Beaver Creek Blvd. will be closed west bound at Post Blvd. Road starting at 9:30 p.m. and ending at 11:00 p.m. Friday, March 2 through Sunday, March 4

Avon Municipal Building
