At the 2011 World Fly Fishing Championships in Italy Team USA had their strongest showing to date coming in fifth place overall. The biggest surprise of the event was the USA Youth Fly Fishing Team taking first place overall and the team Gold Medal. Team member, Dan Marino, placed second in the world for an individual Silver Medal. Both teams will be competing at The America Cup this weekend and have the momentum to continue to win.
