Avon Recreation Center Gets New State-of-the-Art Cardio Equipment

Still trying to get started on your New Year’s Resolution to get fit? Come check out Avon Recreation Center’s new state-of-the-art Precor cardio equipment! The Recreation Center has installed nine new ellipticals, two new climbers, seven new treadmills and two Adaptive Motion Technology (AMT) machines. Avon Recreation Center is the only exercise facility in Eagle County where you will find the AMT. All of these machines incorporate cutting-edge technology and have their own flat panel TV and satellite radio.

An added benefit is that all the new equipment will help the Avon Recreation Center reduce it’s carbon imprint as Precor is not only the world’s leading sports equipment company, but has been recognized as a model of environmental health and safety practices. Precor has received numerous awards for its “green” practices, including its efforts to recycle and reduce waste, elimination of a hazardous waste stream and all halogenated fluids, and its work to prevent source pollution whenever or wherever possible.
