Avon Seeks Planning and Zoning Commission Members

Avon, CO—The Town of Avon is seeking individuals for the Planning and Zoning Commission (P&Z). There are four positions that will be appointed by the Town Council: one vacant position with a one-year term and three positions with a 2-year term. Letters of interest and resumes will be accepted through April 12.

Per town ordinance, the commission is comprised of at least five members who are registered electors of Eagle County at the time of appointment, two or three of which are industry professionals including architects, landscape architects or designers.

The P&Z Commissioners review and approve design review procedures and criteria related to zoning and subdivision ordinances; review and approve development proposals against the Town’s ordinances, and review and comment on programs and planning issues for the Town.

Of the current members, Phil Struve, Scott Prince and Tim Losa have two years remaining on their terms; Paul Anderson’s, Christopher Green’s and Leslie Roubos’s seats are up for re-election.

Resumes can be submitted to the Town of Avon, Human Resources Department, P.O. Box 975, Avon, CO 81620, faxed to 970-748-4078, emailed to chaynes@avon.org, or dropped at Avon Town Hall, One Lake Street, Avon.
