Phase 2 of Avon Managed Parking Program Begins
Monday, January 22
The Town of Avon introduced Phase 1 of a new managed parking program in December. Phase 2 will be implemented on Monday, January 22.
Vehicles must register for all on-street parking in Avon. Parking signs will have a QR code or Text to Park number at four on-street locations. Avon is installing visible signage in both English and Spanish on East Benchmark Road, West Benchmark Road, Lake Street, and West Beaver Creek Boulevard.
Parking registration is different for each on-street area which has specific signage with a unique Text to Park number. These four parking areas offer three hours of free parking with registration, and then charge $1 per hour to park between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. When a customer utilizes the QR code or Text to Park number, the system will retain the information, making it easier and quicker to park at that location in the future. Failure to register may result in a $35 parking fine.
There will be free all-day parking at 1 Lake Street, site of the old town hall.
The Town of Avon encourages residents and guests to use public transportation or carpool.
