Electric Vehicle Charging Price Change

Avon has seven Level 2 Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations and two DCFC fast-charging stations. Users of the DCFC fast-charging stations have been subject to a $0.25/ kWh demand use charge while all Level 2 stations have been free since they were first installed.

Beginning November 1, 2023, all Avon owned charging stations (DCFC and Level 2) will be subject to a $0.17/ kWh charge during off-peak times.  During the 4:00 - 9:00 p.m. peak period, the fee is $0.35/kWh.

The fast-charging stations are located at 220 E. Benchmark Road, near Christy Sports. The Level 2 charging stations are currently located at 30 Lake Street, near the old Firehouse, at 100 Mikaela Way in the Town Hall parking lot and at 220 E. Benchmark Road.

Parking fees and posted parking hours apply for all charging stations and there will be a $0.25/minute overstay fee after 30 minutes.
