East Beaver Creek Boulevard Phase II Extension Construction Begins
Construction is underway on Phase II of the East Beaver Creek Boulevard Extension Project within the Village at Avon. The project consists of construction of approximately 1,800 linear feet of realigned road platform west of the Phase I realignment near the west end of Piedmont Apartments.
In addition to road realignment, the project includes construction of water, sanitary sewer, storm drain, electric and communications infrastructure. A portion of storm drain will be installed on the east side of Stonebridge Drive. The recreation path on the north side of the road will be extended west with the roadway and include lighting. Three bus stops will also be constructed and phased into use as development progresses.
Work will be performed between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and is currently scheduled to be completed in early November 2023. Minimal impacts to vehicle traffic, bicyclists and pedestrians are expected until tie-in connections are made in October.
The Town of Avon bus stop at Piedmont Apartments has been temporarily relocated approximately 200 feet east just beyond the westerly Piedmont driveway.
Town Staff will provide project updates. The Project is being constructed by Scott Green Excavating, Inc. on behalf of Jasmine Development, Inc. Please contact Jim Horsley with the Town of Avon Engineering Department at jhorsley@avon.org or 970-748-4134 with questions regarding this work.
