The inaugural Heart & Soul Festival is this Saturday, September 17th at 4:00 p.m. in Harry A. Nottingham Park.  Heart & Soul Festival features two award-winning headliners, international musician Hempress Sativa and Pato Banton & The Now Generation.  Heart & Soul Festival is free, and attendees can enjoy live music, themed laser show, visual lighting experiences and a chance to win a commemorative inaugural Heart & Soul Festival limited edition poster created by muralist and artist extraordinaire Pat Milbery.

The newest edition to Avon’s special event lineup brings true meaning to the Heart of the Valley with community centric inspiring artisan activations and unforgettable live performances featuring Hempress Sativa and Pato Banton & The Now Generation.  “We are honored to launch Heart & Soul Festival with truly amazing and highly regarded international musicians,” stated Avon Culture, Arts and Special Events Manager Danita Dempsey.

Heart & Soul Festival is in the beginning stages of development which we were planning for release in 2023 or 2024.  However, when we were offered the opportunity to host a co-headlining performance with both Hempress Sativa and Pato Banton & The Now Generation we couldn’t pass it up. Over time, we believe Heart & Soul Festival will become as much of a staple as Salute to the USA, Avon’s most anticipated event of the year,” continued Ms. Dempsey.

The Town of Avon kindly asks guest to leave outside alcohol at home and purchase from a collection of craft brews, wine, refreshing spirits and non-alcoholic beverages from the Hahnewald Bar during Heart & Soul Festival. In addition to the Hahnewald Bar, the event features vendors offering tasty food selections and Wood & Steel Axe Company will be on-site to providing some elevated entertainment.

Heart & Soul Festival is proud to be a plastic-free event so please leave your plastic beverage containers and glass bottles at home and purchase a recyclable canned product from the Hahnewald Bar or bring your own fillable water bottle,” stated Danita Dempsey, Culture, Arts & Special Events Manager for the Town of Avon.  “We know our community loves their four-legged furry family members; we request that you do not bring them to the event as pets are not allowed” continued Ms. Dempsey.
