Xcel Energy’s Residential Gas Service Replacement Program

A Letter from Xcel Energy:


Dear Xcel Energy Customer,

 

On behalf of Xcel Energy, we will replace a section of the natural gas line that serves your home and neighborhood. This is part of Xcel Energy’s Residential Gas Service Replacement Program – a statewide program to revitalize infrastructure and continue to provide customers with safe, reliable natural gas service.  

Please read the details below and review the accompanying brochure so you will be prepared and know what will occur during construction.

 

We will replace the natural gas service line along:

  • From Nottingham Rd north on Metcalf Rd to include the addresses at:
  • 77 Metcalf Rd
  • 80 Metcalf Rd Apt A-W
  • 80 Metcalf Rd Apt C-3
  • 80 Metcalf Rd Apt B-1
  • 120 Metcalf Rd
  • 281 Metcalf Rd
  • 371 Metcalf Rd

We plan to start this project on May 16, 2022 and anticipate completing the work by early July.  However, inclement weather and other circumstances may cause delays. Generally, we will work from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. We may also work some nights, finishing by 5 a.m., and on weekends.

 

To reduce construction impact, much of the work will be done through underground boring in streets. Some work may also occur on side and adjacent streets, and in yards. If it is necessary to work in your yard, you will be notified, and landscaping will be restored to its pre-construction state.

 

Additionally, if your natural gas meter is located inside your home or business, we must move it to an outside location to meet industry standards. If this is the case, we will contact you directly.
