FREE COMMUNITY CONCERT SERIES AND MOVIES CANCELLED
The Town of Avon cancels all AvonLIVE!, Special Edition AvonLIVE! and Lakeside Cinema free concert and film event series effective immediately.
Eagle County Commissioners and Eagle County Public Health Department expressed concerns this morning about rising Covid-19 cases and large gatherings. The decision to cancel events is in response to a sharp increase in Covid-19 cases in Eagle County along with an increase in the positive test rate. “I deeply regret cancelling Avon’s free concert and film event series,” says Eric Heil, Avon Town Manager, “but there is no other responsible choice considering the recent sharp increase in Covid-19 cases and the risk to school re-opening plans and risk to keeping our businesses open.”
