Overview
The Community Development Department is responsible for managing the Town's built environment and creating a livable community that balances the needs of residents, businesses, property owners and visitors.
The Department also serves as a leader in coordinating and focusing multi-departmental work efforts to address a wide range of issues including watershed management, land-use and transportation planning.
The Department provides the following services:
- Development review for new construction and site plans
- Supports the Planning and Zoning Commission
- Supports the Historic Preservation Commission
- Oversees building permits and plan reviews
- Develops long-range and town master planning
