Overview


The Town Clerk’s office is responsible for providing specific services related to the actions of the Mayor and Town Council as well as licensing and election administration as follows:
  • Maintaining the Town’s official and legal records, including but not limited to Avon’s Municipal Code,
  • Preparations for Town Council, Urban Renewal Authority and Local Liquor Authority Board meetings including all agendas and minutes related to such meetings,
  • Providing for notifications to the public per the Town’s Charter,
  • Liquor Licensing: providing assistance to parties interested in understanding the liquor licensing process,
  • Vehicle Impoundment Licensing: (Booting & Towing) providing assistance to parties interested in obtaining a license for providing booting and towing services,
  • Municipal Elections: administrating municipal elections that are held every two years,
  • Responding to citizen inquiries and formal Public Records Requests as well as responding to inquiries concerning Town legislation,
  • Abiding by the Colorado Municipal Records Retention Schedule.
