The Finance Department is responsible for all financial management activities of the Town of Avon. These activities include:

Important Notice

Specific regulations require that the "Avon Business License Number" be included in the advertisement of any accommodation. The Town of Avon has enacted changes to their Business License regulations.  Ordinance 15-02 is effective April 24, 2015, it sets forth that anyone engaged in business in the Town of Avon (whether a fixed location or not) shall register, obtain and maintain an annual business license.  This includes every property owner providing accommodations (short term rental) for less than thirty (30) days.


The Town of Avon and MUNIRevs have partnered to provide a secure, online system that businesses can use to apply for business and sales tax licenses, file tax returns, and submit payments. With this system, the Town will no longer be accepting paper license applications and paper sales tax payments.
