Our non-competitive leagues are for people who want to participate in sports for physical fitness and fun in a social environment. Full teams and groups are welcome.  Individuals and teams looking to get involved should contract the Avon Recreation Center at (970) 748-4060 for information on leagues and schedules. Curling League
New to the Avon Rec Center this year, Tea Kettle Curling is played on ice in teams of two. What is this game of rocks and brooms all about? Curling requires players to slide stones (or tea kettle-like rocks) down a sheet of ice towards a target at the other end. Each team tries to get more of its stones closer to the center of the target than the other team. The best part about curling? Even in the Olympics, the official rules of the World Curling Federation require the winning team to buy the losing team a round of drinks.
