Adult Wellness
S.W.E.A.T (Schedule Weekly Exercise and Activity Times)
Our goal is to proactively promote a higher level of fitness, health, and wellness for people of all ages through our premier facilities, group fitness and personal training. 

We offer a broad range of classes six days a week that emphasize cardio, strength, core, balance, and/or flexibility.

The Spring 2016 S.W.E.A.T schedule features a variety of dance and fitness classes that are INCLUDED with your membership. Choose from classes such as HIIT, Tabata, Barre, and much more. Scroll down to view the S.W.E.A.T. schedule, learn how to participate in S.W.E.A.T and read the class descriptions to get an idea of what each class has to offer. Try a variety of classes that are gonna make you S.W.E.A.T!

There is a small fee for all of our group fitness classes. Please refer to the Group Fitness Rider under membership rates.  The Adult Fitness Class Schedule is updated weekly.

Adult Fitness, Wellness and Yoga Classes
Our excellent fitness instructors provide a wide variety of motivating classes that will take your fitness to a new level. We offer classes for every level of fitness and ability, so come join a class that is best for you! Classes are $3 per class/per day, which is in addition to the regular pass/daily fee. New class schedules are created on a weekly basis.

Unlimited Class Pass
Love group fitness classes? Take advantage of our Unlimited Class Pass which is only $10 for 1 month, $55 for 6 months or $100 for the year. This pass is good for all drop-in fitness and wellness classes as well as all yoga classes. This pass does not include entrance to the facility.

Spin/Cycling
Experienced and novice riders will learn proper cycling form and bike setup to get the ultimate aerobic workout! Drop-ins are welcome. Class schedules are posted at the front desk and online. Drop-ins may sign in and pay day of, for any class.

Personal Trainers
The Avon Recreation Center has a one-on-one personal training package to fit your needs. From a single brush-up session to a more concentrated program of two or more sessions per week, you can choose the trainer and package that best fits your needs. Sessions include goal setting, nutritional guidance, weight training, sport-specific training and more. All personal trainers have a national certification or a degree in the industry. Personal Training Session pricing is as follows:
  • 1 session - 1 person $52 per hour
  • 1 session - 2 persons $66 per hour
  • 1 person - 5 one hour sessions - $235
  • 1 person - 10 one hour sessions - $430

Fitness Assessment
Our thorough fitness assessment will provide you with your current levels of fitness. You will receive results for cardiovascular fitness, muscle strength and muscle endurance. Information received from your assessment is very valuable information to have before starting any exercise program or to help evaluate the efficiency of a current program.

Body Composition Testing
Knowing your body composition is vital to your exercise program to assist you with goal setting, measurements and staying on track. Your body fat will be measured with a bioelectrical impedance machine, which will provide you with a printout that includes much more than just your body fat percentage. The categories on the printout are: basal metabolic rate (BMR), total fat weight, lean body mass, hydration level, body fat percentage and body mass index.
