Nottingham Lake
The Town of Avon's Nottingham Lake is the focal point of many summer and winter activities in the park. The lake serves as a backup water supply to the area and is carefully maintained by the Town of Avon. We need your help in keeping the lake clean. Please do not swim, wade or play in the lake. If the water quality is jeopardized, the Town of Avon reserves the right to close the lake to any and all recreational activities. Fishing is allowed in the summer months with the proper Colorado Fishing License. Ice skating and ice fishing is allowed in the winter months.
Leash Law
Ordinance #87-7 forbids dogs and cats in the drainage area surrounding Nottingham Lake and in the waterways leading to the lake. All dogs must be on a leash, and this law is strictly enforced by Town officials. For safety reasons, we also ask that no dogs be brought to special events that occur within Nottingham Park.
