If you are looking for a place to hold your special event, wedding or private corporate gathering, the Town of Avon has the perfect venue with the spectacular, grand Avon Performance Pavilion at Nottingham Park and the intimate setting offered on the Main Street Mall

Calling for volunteers...we are actively recruiting volunteers for the 2017 season.  If your are interested in getting involved, have a passion for special events, and want to take advantage of the amenities offered at the Avon Recreation Center; we would love to hear from you!  Check out the volunteering page today!

In an effort to expand the offering of festivals and special events with new, creative and unique events, Avon is pleased to be releasing information to organizations that are interested in producing one or more special events at the Avon Performance Pavilion, Harry A. Nottingham Park, and/or the Main Street Mall in 2017. The materials below provide all the information needed to apply for special event dates and/or funding support, including in-kind services.  Also, there is information provided below for event production requirements, if dates and/or funding are approved, and which may be helpful to your organization.

Producer Toolkit

We look forward to hosting your event in the coming year and thank you for your interest in producing an event in Avon! The purpose of the Producer Toolkit is to provide you easy access to the tools needed to successfully produce your event in the Town of Avon and help assure you meet the contractual obligations outlined in your Event Agreement.

Join Us on The Special Event Ad Hoc Committee

The Town of Avon will be establishing its first Ad Hoc Special Events Committee. The eight person citizen’s committee will be appointed by Mayor Jennie Fancher.  Meetings can be expected initially on a monthly basis, followed by sessions scheduled, as needed. Dates and times of the meetings will be determined by the appointed group. The committee is being charged initially with the review of all proposed special events and providing recommendations to the Town Council for calendar dates and funding. The evaluation of event success and recommendations for special event solicitation will also be valuable work by the ad hoc committee.  The Town in 2016 funded private producer, free community and nonprofit fundraising events, including music, athletic and culinary offerings. The mayor plans to appoint business representatives, including but not limited to retail, restaurant and lodging, one or more event producers, and a nonprofit board or staff member to one year terms.
