Avon Transit is designed to make your visit to Avon, whether for work or recreation, an enjoyable and convenient experience. Our public transit system provides fare-free bus and gondola service.  Bus and gondola operations are paid for by the town's general revenue fund.

Avon Transit’s local routes are a convenient way to park once and visit many local shops, restaurants, and attractions such as the Avon Recreational Center, Harry A. Nottingham Park, or the public library.

Town of Avon buses will operate the winter schedule beginning on November 27 and will run through April 20, 2014.

Bus schedules are available at the Avon Municipal Building, the Avon Recreation Center, the Avon Transit office (Swift Gulch Rd.), local lodges, and on all buses.

Winter Ski Service

The Town of Avon Skier Express service will get you to Beaver Creek village for work or play seven days a week. All Avon lodges are served with 15 minutes daily service from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. 30 minutes daily service is available during mid-day from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Daily evening service is available on our Restaurant Shuttle from 6:10 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. This shuttle provides an evening connection between Avon and Beaver Creek for those wishing to dine at any of the fine restaurants within the Town of Avon and Beaver Creek Resort.  Avon lodges are serviced by this shuttle along with the covered bridge bus stop in Beaver Creek Village.

The Riverfront gondola operates during ski season from about December 18th until April 7th and connects to the lower Beaver Creek chairlift. This is a fast way to access the mountain for a world class skiing experience!
