Avon Transit is designed to make your visit to Avon, whether for work or recreation, an enjoyable and convenient experience. Our public transit system provides fare-free bus and gondola service.  Bus and gondola operations are paid for by the town's general revenue fund.

Avon Transit’s local routes are a convenient way to park once and visit many local shops, restaurants, and attractions such as the Avon Recreational Center, Harry A. Nottingham Park, or the public library.

Town of Avon buses will operate the winter schedule beginning on November 26 and will run through mid-April, 2015.

Bus schedules may be obtained at transit stops, on all buses, local lodges, the Avon Recreation Center, and the Avon Municipal Building.

Ski
1. Hop on the bus to Beaver Creek Village then take Centennial (Chair 6) up and ski Red Tail down to the race finish at Red Tail Stadium.
2. From the Westin Gondola, take Chair 15 then 18.  Follow signs to Larkspur Bowl which will lead you to Red Tail Stadium
3. From Arrowhead, ski over to Bachelor Gulch and then take either Chair 16 or 18 and follow signs to Red Tail Stadium.

Walk
You can walk or snowshoe Trail '15 (aka Dally) from Beaver Creek Village. If you don't have a pair of snowshoes, you can demo a pair at the Atlas Snowshoe Tent.  Allow for approximately 20 - 40 minutes to hike uphill and 8 - 15 minutes to hike downhill, depending on snow levels, personal fitness and speed.
