Nestled in the beautiful mountains of Colorado, at the base of the world-class ski resort Beaver Creek, the Avon Police Department was established in 1979. 

Avon Police Tahoe
Over the years our permanent population has grown and we currently service approximately 6,500 year round residents, as well as up to 15,000 guests and residents at the peak of ski season.  The department has 19 sworn officers and three civilians ready to serve our communities and make a difference.
