1. What are the codes in use?

The Town of Avon is currently using the 2009 International Building Code, the 2009 International Residential Code, the 2009 International Mechanical Code, the 2009 International Plumbing Code, the 2009 International Fuel Gas Code, some of the 2009 International Energy Conservation Code, the 2009 International Fire Code, and the 2008 National Electrical Code.

2. What are the building design criteria for the Town of Avon?

The answer to this question can be found in Chapter 15 of the Avon Municipal code, 15.09.110.

3. When do I need a permit?

Most requests for a permit are reviewed on an independent basis. To determine if your project needs a permit please contact the Building Department (970)748-4011.
