Buz Reynolds history and connection to the Town of Avon goes way back, almost as far back as the town itself. Buz first moved to the Vail Valley in 1975 and then settled in Avon in 1980. Buz has been in public service for the Town of Avon since 1983, when he began a 13 year stint on Avon’s Planning and Zoning Commission. Then, in 1996, Buz was elected to Avon’s Town Council and spent four years as a Council member, two years as Mayor Pro-Tem and another two years as Avon’s mayor. Buz currently runs Reynolds Corp, which does excavation, development and general contracting. Last year his son, Sean, joined as a partner in the company. Buz also has a daughter who works as a traveling intensive care nurse specialist. While Buz has been part of Avon’s policy board for a long time, he has returned to service after a four year break because he believes he can still be of service to the community. His goals for the next four years include improving Avon’s relationship with Traer Creek Metro District and Beaver Creek. He is also focused on trying to help find a solution to I-70 congestion and alternative transportation for guests.
