Responsibilities: Randy’s duties include protecting and serving the residents, citizens, and guests in the Town of Avon and to serve in the State of Colorado by offering assistance to neighboring agencies. As the School Resource Officer, Randy is responsible to create a safe and non-threatening learning environment for the students in the schools within the Town of Avon.

Background: Randy grew up in northeastern Pennsylvania where he went to college and obtained a Bachelor and Master of Science Degree in Environmental Studies. He grew up skiing at a local mountain in Pennsylvania where he subsequently taught skiing.

Randy moved to Colorado right after graduating college to work for Vail Resorts as a Ski Instructor. He worked as a Ski Instructor in the winters and then as a Raft Guide for Lakota and Timberline during the summers.

Randy went to the police academy in the fall of 2005 and was hired by the Avon Police Department in January 2006 to work as a police officer.

Awards/Accomplishments: Randy is a member of the Avon Police Ski Team, which has come in first place at the Colorado Peace Officers Ski Race in 2006 and 2007.

Hobbies/Interests: When not working, Randy spends his winters skiing, snowboarding, and snowshoeing. During the summer he kayaks, plays golf, rides dirt bikes, and competes in action shooting sports. Randy is also involved in a local church where he plays the bass and acoustic guitar.
