    Nottingham Lake is back and better than ever this summer! The Avon Recreation Department provides the only open water swim in the valley. It's a perfect way to train for your first (or third) outdoor triathlon. Just be sure to bring a wetsuit - the water can be chilly! Fee:$5 per person Check-in at the Avon Performance Pavilion Average water temp. is between 60 - 68 degrees, wet suits recommended Must be 15 years of age with parental release For your safety - lifeguard staff and distance buoys will be provided

    Long Run, 'Colorado's Tribute to the Eagles', is one of America's top tributes to the best-selling band in American rock music. Based on the front range near Longs Peak, they recently celebrated their 10th Anniversary with shows at Paramount Theatre in downtown Denver and Red Rocks Amphitheatre. The free Avon Live! concerts return this summer, offering ten exceptional evenings of live music...rain or shine!   3. Colorado Classic

    August 23, 2019, 11:30 AM - 4:00 PM @ Harry A. Nottingham Park and Town Core

    Join us in Harry A. Nottingham Park between 11:30 am and 4 pm for all the excitement! Watch as some of the fastest female cyclists in the world take off on Lake Street to tackle a flat, fast 5-mile circuit for seven laps around Avon’s core. The final 14-mile lap will take racers up Bachelor Gulch before riders scream back down a fast, technical descent into Avon to finish on Lake Street. The park will be bustling with activity including gear and food vendors, a giant screen live-streaming the race, and a special performance from the Sweet Lillies beginning at 1 pm. Avon’s town core will be closed to vehicle traffic beginning at noon, so get there early.
