Graffiti vandals have been apprehended and charged

Avon, CO – The Avon Police Department is pleased to announce that following a comprehensive and tenacious investigation, two individuals have been identified as the ones responsible for multiple graffiti-related incidents in Avon in recent weeks. The target of the graffiti was Town of Avon buildings and property. These individuals, who are juveniles, have been charged with felony criminal mischief as a result of these crimes. Persons charged with crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
The Avon Police Department would like to remind and encourage residents to remain alert in your neighborhood, particularly during night time hours. Please remember if you observe anyone acting suspiciously, please call the Avon Police Department at 970-748-4040 or call 911 if it is an emergency situation. Please do not attempt to contact or engage a suspicious person. For your safety, an Avon police officer will make any necessary contacts. As a common practice, please secure your property by locking all of the doors and windows to your homes and vehicles.
