Ballet X and the Boulder Symphony - This week at the Avon Performance Pavilion

Free events celebrate summer evenings in Avon


Avon, CO – Two exceptional free community cultural offerings will happen at the Avon Performance Pavilion at Harry A. Nottingham Park this week.
 
Vail International Dance Festival - Dancing in the Park!
Vail International Dance Festival’s company-in-residence, BalletX is Philadelphia's acclaimed contemporary ballet company. BalletX comes to the Avon Performance Pavilion for one night showcasing a variety of dances and dance styles in a spectacular outdoor venue.

Boulder Symphony Orchestra - Mozart in the Mountains
The Boulder Symphony will perform Mozart's Symphony No. 41 in C "Jupiter" at the Avon Performance Pavilion in Harry A. Nottingham Park. Dedicated to making symphonic music more accessible and relevant to people of all ages and backgrounds, Boulder Symphony introduces gifted new composers and musicians, adventurous world premieres, and focuses on educational outreach and interactive programs for youth. Committed to consistent innovation, the Symphony embraces music’s transformative joy of discovery.
 
Date:     Sunday, August 7th
Time:    5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
 
PARKING:  Free parking is available at the Avon Recreation Center, Avon Elementary School, and US Bank and First Bank parking lots. On street parking is open on West Beaver Creek Boulevard, Lake Street and Benchmark Road.  A parking map and additional information can be found at www.avon.org/specialevents. 
 
Tips for Enjoying the Events:
  • Open chair, bleacher and blanket seating areas available
  • No dogs are allowed in the venue
  • No outside liquor
  • No marijuana smoking
 
Please use the recycling and composting centers stationed in the park!
