Avon to Host Community Meeting at Avon Elementary School on November 11th
Avon, CO – On Monday, November 11th at 6:00 p.m., the Town of Avon will host a community meeting in the cafeteria of Avon Elementary School to update residents about the 2020 Proposed Budget and to engage residents in conversation regarding the Town’s work.
The meeting will begin with a presentation on the 2020 Proposed Budget and then attendees will be provided an opportunity to ask questions and provide comments. Input gathered from this community meeting will help the Town Council in gauging citizen opinion regarding the direction of Town services and activities. The Town Council encourages your thoughts, ideas and opinions as the Town moves forward in preparing the 2020 Budget.
The 2020 Proposed Budget, available for public viewing at www.avon.org/budget, includes Total Operating Revenues of $26,179,805 and Total Operating Expenses of $25,207,493, Debt Service in the amount of $1,954,356, and a projected 2020 year-end fund balance for all funds of $17,532,172. The 2020 Proposed Budget document includes a list of proposed Capital Improvement Projects and a proposed Strategic Plan that describes projects, programs and policies for 2020.
